Animalkind Biomes & Map
Animalkind's world is split into five distinct biomes, each with its own personality, resources, and hazards. Knowing what each zone offers — and what it demands — is the key to a smooth progression.
Biome Progression Tip
Work from the Lush Forest outward. Each new biome requires better tools and gear, so don't rush into Snowy Peaks or Ancient Ruins without upgrading your equipment first.
1. Lush Forest
Low DangerYour starting home. Rolling hills covered in oak and pine trees, dotted with berry bushes and wildflowers. Everything you need to get off the ground is right here.
| Resource | Type | Where to Find | Tool Needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wood | Basic | Trees (all types) | Stone Axe or higher |
| Stone | Basic | Surface rocks | Hands or Stone Pickaxe |
| Plant Fiber | Basic | Ground / bushes | Hands |
| Berries | Food | Berry bushes | Hands |
| Clay | Crafting | River banks | Hands |
2. Sandy Desert
Moderate DangerA sun-baked expanse of dunes and palm groves. Sandstorms can drain your stamina faster, and cacti are the main source of food here. Watch out for the midday heat.

Pro Tip: Track Resource Locations
Use the in-game map to drop pins marking resource-rich spots. Ore veins in caves regenerate slowly, so marking your best mining locations saves a lot of backtracking.
