Animalkind is an open world village building game developed by Uncommon Games. Play as an adorable animal piloting an ancient mech — forage, build, and explore a vast wilderness either solo or with friends.

1. Release Date

Animalkind launched its playable demo on December 4, 2025 on Steam. The game enters Steam Early Access on 30 Mar, 2026, with a full release expected around 2027.

As stated by the developers: "We expect the game to leave Early Access in 2027." The price of the game will increase after the full release.

The Early Access version includes:

• Multiple regions — each with unique quest content, characters, and natural resources
• Large cast of NPCs to meet and befriend
• Exploration, farming, fishing, building, and decoration gameplay loops
• Cooperative multiplayer — play solo or with up to four players

The full version is planned to include more content (quests, regions, lore, decorations, and characters), refined gameplay mechanics, improved user interfaces, better controller and Steam Deck support, and additional languages.
